Article: TSA Prohibited Items List Changing April 25th:

In 2010, Failte 32 started out assisting Summer J-1 visa holders from Ireland in their efforts to find employment in NY, and having been successful in doing this through its unique community based model, it extended its services later that year to include longer-term visa holders.
In 2011, Failte 32 launched the Shamrock Fund SM to further assist our new arrivals in their efforts to find employment, by subsidizing their annual membership to well established Irish American Business and cultural networking organizations.
Because employment eligibility and visa status are interdependent, Failte 32 extended its services still further the same year to include lobbying for a ‘visa for all’ through the proposed IRE Irish Immigration Bill, which is being spearheaded by its immigration attorney, Caro Kinsella.
Now, in 2013, Failte 32 is delighted to announce that, after having received many requests for accommodations since our launch, one of our strategic partners, Internship USA, under the leadership of Tom Griffin, Program Manager, has set up this critical service for our new arrivals from Ireland.
The accommodation is NOT contingent upon doing an internship through Internship USA, therefore it is open to any Irish students at all, pretty much, J-1 or not. For students coming across for a limited period of time (2-4 months or over the summer), this Residence provides them with an excellent option. It is friendly and safe. (Tom can personally vouch for it: his wife actually lived at this Student Residence for about 1 year and has good memories of the whole student atmosphere there).
